She is from St. Paul, MN and graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in Biology. Then later graduating from Thomas Jefferson University with a B.S. and masters of nursing, completing the family nurse practitioner program.

She lives in Wilmington with her husband and children and enjoys gardening, outside activities, and travel.
